The purpose of this project was to make a marker/pencil holder from scratch. The project started on September 6th and was finished on September 20th. The project's main objective was to learn how to use the different tools engineers use on the process of creating a product and actually create something that we drew, designed it on the computer and finally making it by hand. And some major issues that I had was getting used to drawing orthographic and isometric drawings and also getting the hand of Fusion 360 after not using Autodesk Inventor for more than two years. Another issue was also getting used to using the tools that I've never worked with before.
As for the summary of the project, the whole project was done at the time it was and given (except the drawings, they were done just a week after they were given). The CADing was done that same day and the construction of the product was also done that same day. The only thing that is missing are the magnets that are attached on the back of the product, but I never got the magnets.
Some problems that I encountered were that after finishing the CAD model, I did not post it on the blog because I forgot to do it during class and I thought I could download the program on my laptop, but I do not use that laptop that much anymore so I did not know it was really behind on software updates so Fusion 360 was not available for my operating system. It took me one week to figure out how to update the computer and when I actually got the computer to update, it took 4 hours to fully update. But it can finally run Fusion, so that is good.
To conclude, the project was finely completed at the time it was given. It is not a marker holder but it was modified to be a pencil/brush holder for me that I paint now and then.
